Brand Usage Guidelines
1. Introduction
These Brand Usage Guidelines (“Guidelines”) explain how third parties may use Akiflow’s name and brand assets (“Akiflow Brand”).
Akiflow supports developers, creators, and the open-source community in building integrations and tools that enhance the Akiflow ecosystem. Use of the Akiflow Brand is permitted only in accordance with these Guidelines.
Akiflow reserves the right to update or revoke these permissions at any time.
2. Ownership and Trademark
“Akiflow” is a registered trademark of Akiflow, Inc. (or its affiliates).
All other brand elements, including logos, design assets, and visual identity elements, are proprietary to Akiflow and protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
All rights, title, and interest in the Akiflow Brand remain the exclusive property of Akiflow. Use of the Akiflow Brand does not grant any ownership rights or licenses beyond those expressly stated in these Guidelines.
3. Permitted Use
You may use the Akiflow name solely for the purpose of:
Accurately referencing Akiflow and its products
Describing compatibility or integration with Akiflow
Promoting tools, extensions, or services that work with Akiflow
Examples of acceptable use include:
“Integration for Akiflow”
“Works with Akiflow”
“Built for Akiflow users”
All uses must be truthful, non-misleading, and clearly descriptive.
4. Prohibited Use
You may not:
Suggest or imply any endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation with Akiflow where none exists
Use “Akiflow” as part of your product name, company name, domain name, or social media handle
Use the Akiflow Brand in a way that is misleading, defamatory, or harmful to Akiflow
Use the Akiflow Brand more prominently than your own brand
Use the Akiflow Brand in any way that competes with or misrepresents Akiflow’s products or services
5. Logo Usage
The Akiflow logo and visual assets are proprietary and may not be used without prior written permission from Akiflow.
If permission is granted:
Only official assets provided by Akiflow may be used
The logo must not be modified, altered, or combined with other elements
The logo must not be used in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership, or official status
6. Open Source Projects and Integrations
Akiflow encourages the development of open-source projects and integrations. However, the following requirements apply:
6.1 Naming
Your project name must not include “Akiflow” in a way that suggests it is an official product
Acceptable: “Task Sync for Akiflow”
Not acceptable: “Akiflow Sync Engine”
6.2 Required Disclaimer
All open-source projects, repositories, websites, and documentation that reference Akiflow must include a clear and prominent disclaimer, such as:
“This project is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Akiflow. ‘Akiflow’ is a registered trademark of Akiflow.”
The disclaimer must be:
Clearly visible (e.g., in the README or main documentation)
Included on any public-facing website (if applicable)
Written in plain, unambiguous language
6.3 Representation
You must not:
Present your project as an official Akiflow product or integration
Imply certification, partnership, or approval by Akiflow
Use branding, design, or naming that may confuse users as to source or ownership
7. Commercial Use
Use of the Akiflow name is allowed in commercial contexts solely to describe compatibility or integration, provided that:
The use is descriptive and not misleading
It does not imply endorsement or partnership
It complies fully with these Guidelines
The Akiflow Brand may not be used as the primary element in advertising or promotion of third-party products or services.
8. Attribution
Where appropriate, include a trademark attribution such as:
“Akiflow is a registered trademark of Akiflow, Inc.”
9. Enforcement
Akiflow reserves the right to:
Request modification or removal of any non-compliant use
Revoke permission to use the Akiflow Brand
Take legal action where appropriate
